Granted, I don't map an awful lot. But I do sometimes, resulting in much more than what is presented here in a finished form. When I do I really enjoy making a good atmosphere, getting everything just right. Also I'm I guess obsessed with getting things to fit just right. I often look for new ways to challenge my skills in constructing architecture.

I'm currently mapping in Doom3, I think the lighting in there is definitly the new way of how maps are constructed. New games will have more advanced lighting support (supporting more and not just point-based, I suppose), but I really think that the static, precompiled lightvolumes are a thing of the past.
Nothing is in a presentable state yet, so until then enjoy yourself with these Quake 3 Arena maps. They're ordered on release date (Killer is a winner being last).
